A lot of iTunes libraries are cursed with nasty ID3 tags.  I don’t remember where they came from, but I’ve collected a bunch of iTunes fixing scripts.  Go get them here and drop them in ~/users/(user)/Library/iTunes/Scripts 



 Or you can be like Jacob, and painstakingly do them one by one, next time you feel like not working for a little while.
